Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions in the North West of England. You will install, service, and troubleshoot air compressors, dryers, gas generators, and related equipment on-site, maintaining safety standards and logging activity digitally.

The role involves diagnosing faults, delivering repairs, and supporting urgent service needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or engineering field roles with troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Comfortable using standard IT applications and quick to adopt new digital tools for service management.
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence with a clean record (no more than 3 points).
• Strong safety mindset and proactive problem-solving in fast-moving environments.
• Excellent communication with a customer-oriented approach and enthusiasm for resolving technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshootair compressors, dryers, gas generators, and related equipment

• Usedigital tools to log service activity, maintain up-to-date records, and report on performance
• Participatein our on-call schedule and supporting urgent service needs when required
• Attendlive training and regular team sessions to keep your knowledge and skills sharp
• Act as a brand ambassador and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement or added value
• Contributeto a culture of collaboration, safety, and innovation across the wider service team

Your Skills and experience

Key qualifications and attributes include:

• Hands-on experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or engineering field roles, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating competency.
• Comfortable and confident in using standard IT applications and quick to adopt new digital tools and systems for service management.
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence with a good driving record (no more than 3 points).
• Demonstrated adaptability, proactive problem-solving skills, and a strong safety mindset in a fast-moving work environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach and enthusiasm for resolving technical challenges.
