Job summary

Atlas Copco in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Birmingham to install, service, and troubleshoot air compressors, dryers, gas generators, and related equipment. Represent Atlas Copco on-site with a customer-first approach while logging service activity and maintaining up-to-date records.

This role involves diagnosing faults, delivering repairs with safety and efficiency, participating in on-call support, and attending live training.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or engineering field roles, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating competency.
  • Comfortable and confident using standard IT applications and new digital tools for service management.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving licence with a good driving record (no more than 3 points).
  • Demonstrated adaptability, proactive problem-solving and a strong safety mindset in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach and enthusiasm for resolving technical challenges.

Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. Your day to day:

  • RepresentAtlas Copco on-site with professionalism and a customer-first approach
  • Install, service, and troubleshootair compressors, dryers, gas generators, and related equipment
  • Diagnosetechnical faults and delivering expert repairs with safety and efficiency
  • Usedigital tools to log service activity, maintain up-to-date records, and report on performance
  • Participatein our on-call schedule and supporting urgent service needs when required
  • Attendlive training and regular team sessions to keep your knowledge and skills sharp
  • Act as a brand ambassador and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement or added value
  • Contributeto a culture of collaboration, safety, and innovation across the wider service team
