Job summary

Atlas Copco in the North West of England is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair our air compressors, dryers, and generators, delivering first-class customer support and upholding the highest safety standards.

This on-site role includes installation, diagnostics, and expert repairs, logging activity digitally, taking on-call shifts, attending live training, and collaborating with a regional service team to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or engineering roles.
• Mechanical or electrical qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient with IT tools and service management software.
• Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Strong safety mindset and proactive problem-solving.
• Excellent communication with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Your role

Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. This role is based in North West of England.

Your Day To Day

• Represent Atlas Copco on-site with professionalism and a customer-first approach

Your Skills And Experience

Key qualifications and attributes include:

• Hands-on experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or engineering field roles, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating competency.
• Comfortable and confident in using standard IT applications and quick to adopt new digital tools and systems for service management.
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence with a good driving record (no more than 3 points).
• Demonstrated adaptability, proactive problem-solving skills, and a strong safety mindset in a fast-moving work environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach and enthusiasm for resolving technical challenges.
