FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

Location and Coverage

Northampton area base - UK and European Coverage

Salary and Benefits

c£36k + generous benefits + van + exceptional allowances + expenses - genuine realistic 1st year earnings £55k-£60k

Company Overview

Our client, based near Northampton, is part of an established Group specializing in bespoke materials handling solutions for diverse customers and industry sectors worldwide. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a dynamic and multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to join their professional engineering service team, installing and maintaining handling solutions and supporting customers across the UK and internationally as required.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Report to the Service Manager and operate from the Northampton facility.
2. Perform reactive and PPM activities on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
3. Provide high-quality customer service and support in a customer-facing environment.
4. Undergo initial training on Health and Safety and working at height.
5. Carry out service calls on a planned preventative and reactive basis at customer sites.
6. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on customer equipment and systems, communicating clearly with clients and reporting activities and faults.
7. Train customers and their technicians on equipment use, service, and maintenance.
8. Assist in installation and commissioning of machinery.
9. Work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to various environments.
10. Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a similar plant and equipment maintenance environment, preferably within materials handling or automatic process equipment.
• Strong mechanical background with multi-skilled capabilities.
• Comfortable working in varied locations and environments.
• Full UK driving license.
• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
