Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of bespoke engineering equipment. The role covers the Swindon region and surrounding areas, with home-based aspects and regular travel to customer sites across the UK.

You will install, commission, calibrate, service and fault-find bespoke equipment, working independently with strong diagnostic skills. A Level 3 electrical/electronic qualification and a full UK driving licence are required.

• Level 3 electrical/electronic qualification or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commissioning, calibration, servicing and fault finding of bespoke engineering equipment at customer sites.
• Regular overnight stays required.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Field Service Engineer

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of bespoke engineering equipment. Ideally based around Swindon, applications will also be considered from engineers based around Cirencester, Abingdon, Thatcham, Tidworth and Castle Combe. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working independently while developing specialist technical skills.

This role would particularly suit ex-military candidates from electrical, electronic or avionics engineering backgrounds.

The Role:

You will carry out installation, commissioning, calibration, servicing and fault finding of bespoke engineering equipment across customer sites throughout your designated region. Regular overnight stays are required as part of the role to support customer and business requirements. Additional overnight payments are provided, and all expenses are fully covered.

What We’re Looking For:

• Electrical, electronic or avionics engineering background
• Level 3 electrical/electronic engineering qualification or equivalent
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Previous calibration equipment experience would be advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Flexible approach to regional travel and overnight stays
• Full UK driving licence
