Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service wheelchair access equipment on light commercial vehicles. You will work from home with nationwide travel across south west, south east and central London.

You should be time served or have proven experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic, NVQ level 2/3 in vehicle mechanics or similar, and be practical with hand tools and 12V electrics. Full training will be provided and a CRB check is required.

• Time served or proven track record as vehicle technician or mechanic.
• Experience in field service/mobile role preferred.
• NVQ level 2/3 in vehicle mechanics or similar.
• Ability to pass CRB check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and service wheelchair access equipment on light commercial vehicles.
• Travel nationwide to customer sites with focus on south west, south east and central London.
• Utilise basic electrical fault finding and standard hand tools to diagnose issues.

Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Commercial Vehicle Conversions – Basic Salary: £40,000 + London Weighting Allowance + Bonuses + overtime paid door to door = £50k - £55k++ + Company Van + 25 days holiday + bank + Life Assurance + 24/7 health support + Endless Ongoing Training

• Are you time served or possess a proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Engineer?
• Have you had enough of working within a workshop / dealership environment and now looking for an opportunity to break into a field service / mobile role where you can utilise and develop upon your previous experience?

Based from home, as Field Service Engineer you will carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment, oil and filters on customers light commercial vehicles throughout predominantly south west, south east and central London.

You will ideally be qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics, mechanical engineering or similar; have a practical approach to problem solving; be comfortable using various hand tools and have had some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing light vehicles, plant or other mechanical based machinery or equipment.

Any prior knowledge or experience of basic fault finding on 12 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

All successful candidates must be able to pass a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
