Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service wheelchair access equipment on light commercial vehicles across Merseyside and Lancashire, with occasional nationwide travel. You will work from home and visit client sites to inspect, repair and service equipment.

The ideal candidate will be time-served or have proven field service experience in vehicle mechanics, plant or related machinery, with NVQ level 2/3 and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics or similar.
• Experience repairing, maintaining or servicing light vehicles, plant or similar machinery.
• CRB check required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment on light commercial vehicles.
• Travel from home to client sites across Merseyside and Lancashire, with occasional nationwide work.
• Utilise hand tools and fault-finding techniques as required.

• Have you had enough of working within a workshop / dealership environment and now looking for an opportunity to break into a field service / mobile role where you can utilise and develop upon your previous experience?

Based from home, as Field Service Engineer you will carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment, oil and filters on customers light commercial vehicles throughout predominantly Merseyside and Lancashire and further afield on occasions when required. .

You will ideally be qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics, mechanical engineering or similar; have a practical approach to problem solving; be comfortable using various hand tools and have had some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing light vehicles, plant or other mechanical based machinery or equipment.

Any prior knowledge or experience of basic fault finding on 12 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

All successful candidates must be able to pass a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
