Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to service wheelchair access equipment and light commercial vehicles across the south west, south east and central London, with a company van and a salary package around £40,000 base plus London weighting, bonuses and overtime.

You should be time served or have a proven track record as Vehicle Technician, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Engineer; NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics; able to use hand tools; CRB check required

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics or similar.
• Practical use of hand tools; experience repairing/maintaining light vehicles, plant or related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment and light commercial vehicles.
• Serve predominantly in the south west, south east and central London from home base.
• Full CRB check required; training provided.

• Have you had enough of working within a workshop / dealership environment and now looking for an opportunity to break into a field service / mobile role where you can utilise and develop upon your previous experience?

Based from home, as Field Service Engineer you will carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment, oil and filters on customers light commercial vehicles throughout predominantly south west, south east and central London.

You will ideally be qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics, mechanical engineering or similar; have a practical approach to problem solving; be comfortable using various hand tools and have had some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing light vehicles, plant or other mechanical based machinery or equipment.

Any prior knowledge or experience of basic fault finding on 12 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

All successful candidates must be able to pass a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
