Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform mobile servicing on wheelchair access equipment for light commercial vehicles. You will be based from home and travel across predominantly south west, south east and central London.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to develop in a supportive, long-term career with ongoing training. A CRB check is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics.
• CRB/DBS check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment on light commercial vehicles.
• Travel to customer sites across southwest, southeast and central London to perform field service tasks.

Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Commercial Vehicle Conversions – London – Basic Salary: £40,000 + London Weighting Allowance + Bonuses + overtime paid door to door = £50k - £55k++

Are you time served or possess a proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Engineer?

Have you had enough of working within a workshop / dealership environment and now looking for an opportunity to break into a field service / mobile role where you can utilise and develop upon your previous experience?

Based from home, as Field Service Engineer you will carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment, oil and filters on customers light commercial vehicles throughout predominantly south west, south east and central London.

You will ideally be qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics, mechanical engineering or similar; have a practical approach to problem solving; be comfortable using various hand tools and have had some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing light vehicles, plant or other mechanical based machinery or equipment.

Any prior knowledge or experience of basic fault finding on 12 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

All successful candidates must be able to pass a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
