Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is hiring a Field Service Engineer to service wheelchair access equipment on light commercial vehicles. You will operate nationwide from home, servicing South Wales, Bristol and Gloucester with a company van provided.

Ideal candidates have NVQ Level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to use standard hand tools. Full training will be given and a CRB check is required.

Qualifications

• Time served or proven workshop/field service experience in vehicle mechanics.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics or similar.
• Comfort using hand tools and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment on light commercial vehicles.
• Work nationwide across South Wales, Bristol and Gloucester.
• Participate in ongoing training and development provided by the employer.

• Have you had enough of working within a workshop / dealership environment and now looking for an opportunity to break into a field service / mobile role where you can utilise and develop upon your previous experience?

Based from home, as Field Service Engineer you will carry out planned inspection, repair and service of wheelchair access equipment, oil and filters on customers light commercial vehicles throughout predominantly South Wales, Bristol and the surrounding region.

You will ideally be qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics, mechanical engineering or similar; have a practical approach to problem solving; be comfortable using various hand tools and have had some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing light vehicles, plant or other mechanical based machinery or equipment.

Any prior knowledge or experience of basic fault finding on 12 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

All successful candidates must be able to pass a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
