Job summary

Pyramid Search & Selection is assisting a leading ATM industry client in recruiting a Field Service Engineer to cover Hounslow and surrounding areas. You will travel daily, service and repair self-service devices at banks, supermarkets and stores, with a company van, laptop, phone and training provided to work autonomously.

The successful candidate will have hands-on hardware experience, a full UK driving licence, and a flexible approach to work.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware experience on self-service machines, ATMs, or similar hardware.
• Experience with Windows-based software is advantageous.
• Previous customer-facing experience and ability to meet SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair hardware on customer sites (ATMs, kiosks, vending, etc.).
• Diagnose and fix issues; respond to hardware problems promptly.
• Liaise with customers professionally in high-pressure situations.
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure parts availability and updates.
• Collaborate with subcontractors as needed to resolve issues.
• Suggest improvements to service, reliability and performance.

Job description

Our client, who is an industry leader in the ATM industry, is looking for a Field Service Engineer, to join their field operations. They provide a wide range of solutions to the world’s leading banks, retail and commercial institutions.

Ideally the candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience within the field. The candidate will be looking after Hounslow and the surrounding areas.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support to our client’s customers by carrying out maintenance on a range of Self-service devices based at banks, supermarkets, and independent stores.

You will be working independently, 'in the field’, travelling to required areas daily. You will be provided with a company van, a mobile and a laptop, training, and the network of support that you need to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain / repair technical hardware problems on customer sites, predominantly ATM’s, but you may also work on Self-Service, Kiosks, Lockers and Vending machines.
• Diagnose system problems in minimal time and repair.
• Respond to all technical hardware problems on site.
• Deal with customers in a professional manner during difficult high-pressure situations.
• Work within the times scale as set out in the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Liaise with the logistics team to ensure parts are ordered and the customer is kept abreast of the situation.
• Coordinate with the technical resources necessary to resolve critical customer situations.
• Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors when needed.
• Make recommendations for improving the companies service, reliability & performance.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Technical hands-on experience working on either self-service machines, vending machines, ATM’s, white goods or other such hardware is essential.
• Experience of working on Windows based software is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar customer facing environment working to achieve customer service level agreements.
• A flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Good communication skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team across the business.
• Work well independently and in a team situation.
• A full UK Valid Driving License is essential for this role. The role comes with a vehicle, fuel card, laptop, phone, tools and workwear.

Hours of work:

• This position works on 9-hour shifts with an hour for lunch on a rota basis between 7am and 7pm and 1 in 4 weekends on a rotational basis.
