Job summary

Pyramid Search and Selection LTD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our field operations. You will travel to client sites across Hounslow and surrounding areas, maintaining and repairing ATM and self-service hardware. A company van, laptop and training are provided, with a focus on independent fieldwork and high service standards.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to work shifts on a rota basis. This role offers training and progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Technical hands-on experience with self-service machines, ATMs or related hardware.
• Experience with Windows-based software is advantageous.
• Customer-facing experience with a focus on meeting SLAs and delivering service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair ATM, self-service machines and related hardware at customer sites.
• Diagnose issues quickly and repair to minimal time, meeting SLAs.
• On-site fault diagnosis and professional customer interaction.
• Liaise with logistics for parts and updates; coordinate with subcontractors if needed.
• Work within rota and schedule, travelling to required areas daily.

Job description

Our client, who is an industry leader in the ATM industry, is looking for a Field Service Engineer, to join their field operations. They provide a wide range of solutions to the world’s leading banks, retail and commercial institutions.

Ideally the candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience within the field. The candidate will be looking after Hounslow and the surrounding areas and will ideally live within 10 miles radius from Hounslow.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support to our client’s customers by carrying out maintenance on a range of Self-service devices based at banks, supermarkets, and independent stores.

You will be working independently, 'in the field’, travelling to required areas daily. You will be provided with a company van, a mobile and a laptop, training, and the network of support that you need to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain / repair technical hardware problems on customer sites, predominantly ATM’s, but you may also work on Self-Service, Kiosks, Lockers and Vending machines.
• Diagnose system problems in minimal time and repair.
• Respond to all technical hardware problems on site.
• Deal with customers in a professional manner during difficult high-pressure situations.
• Work within the times scale as set out in the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Liaise with the logistics team to ensure parts are ordered and the customer is kept abreast of the situation.
• Coordinate with the technical resources necessary to resolve critical customer situations.
• Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors when needed.
• Make recommendations for improving the companies service, reliability & performance.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Technical hands-on experience working on either self-service machines, vending machines, ATM’s, white goods or other such hardware is essential.
• Experience of working on Windows based software is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar customer facing environment working to achieve customer service level agreements.
• A flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Good communication skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team across the business.
• Work well independently and in a team situation.
• A full UK Valid Driving License is essential for this role. The role comes with a vehicle, fuel card, laptop, phone, tools and workwear.

Hours of work:

• This position works on 9-hour shifts with an hour for lunch on a rota basis between 7am and 7pm and 1 in 4 weekends on a rotational basis.
