Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in Sheffield for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a large, growing, and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

1. Carry out maintenance and repair work on earthmoving equipment.
2. Perform servicing, inspection, and repair of earthmoving machinery.
3. Conduct diagnostic work and fault finding.
4. Participate in the early stages of warranty claim processing.
5. Escalate actions related to broken or damaged company equipment.
6. Coordinate with customers to ensure their requirements are understood and met.

Requirements for a successful Field Service Engineer

1. Mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
2. Heavy Plant or agriculture experience.
3. NVQ Level 3 in a related industry.
4. Full clean driving licence.
5. Strong IT skills with the ability to run diagnostic repairs.

Summary of the Field Service Engineer role

Salary: £17.45 - £19.36 per hour

Location: Sheffield

Type of Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours plus overtime
