An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for a Coach Builder / Accident Repairer to join Arriva, based at our Repair centre in Derby Depot.

The Coach Builder will carry out effective repairs and planned maintenance to all company vehicles, ensuring repairs meet DETR guidelines and the company’s Standard Maintenance Policy. Upon completion, all vehicles should be safe and roadworthy.

The Role of a Coach Builder

• Ensuring safety, well-being, and comfort of all vehicle users and pedestrians
• Carrying out repairs to DETR and company standards, complying with legislation
• Performing repairs effectively and economically
• Possessing a valid driving license to test vehicles on public roads
• Adhering to Safe Working practices and prioritizing Health and Safety
• Carrying out engineering functions relevant to the role
• Minimizing repair costs and engineering lost mileage
• Flexibility to work at other locations within the company as needed

Requirements for a Coach Builder

• Qualified with prior experience in a PSV vehicle workshop as a body builder/coach maker
• Motivated team player capable of working independently and problem-solving
• Safety is paramount; induction and development will be provided
