Wallace Hind Selection Ltd. are seeking a competent Field Service Engineer with hands-on experience in end-of-line packaging machinery, preferably in the food or beverage sector. The role involves repair, installation and commissioning of equipment, with strong emphasis on fault finding and Siemens PLC upgrades.

The position is home-based with UK-wide coverage, requiring 2–3 nights away and one weekend per month. Full training is provided, and a company car with hybrid options is available.

Formación

• Must have proven track record as a Field Service Engineer with hands-on packaging machinery experience in food and/or beverage markets.
• Willingness to travel UK and Ireland, with 2–3 nights away from home and one weekend per month on average.
• Experience with fault finding and upgrading Siemens PLCs or similar.

A great Field Service Engineer role! We want to find an accomplished and qualified Multi-skilled Engineer who has specific experience of fault finding AND ideally, specifically of modifying and upgrading of Siemens PLC`s (or similar) used in end of line packaging machinery.

BASIC SALARY:

up to £50,000

BENEFITS:

• Overtime to earn circa £65,000
• Hybrid company car
• 10% Pension

LOCATION:

Home based and ideally living in the Midlands or North of England (although Midlands preferable)

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS:

Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Stoke, Sheffield, Leicester

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A classic Field Service Engineer role involving repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of end of line packaging machinery including working with PLC`s, ideally capable of fault finding, modifying and upgrading of Siemens PLC`s, or similar.

You will be covering the whole of the UK and Ireland, and will be expected to spend 2 to 3 nights per week away from home, plus working one weekend a month on average.

• Full training will be offered on the job and occasionally at HQ in Europe.
• Full training will also be provided on upgrading & modifying PLC`s.
• Overtime is paid door to door.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• You MUST have a proven track record as a Field Service Engineer with hands on packaging machinery experience working in the food and/or beverage markets.
• You will be a Multi-skilled Engineer with electrical & electronic engineering qualifications and ideally specific experience and training on fault finding, modifying & upgrading of Siemens PLC`s, or similar.
• We will consider applicants with a track record as a Factory Maintenance Engineer who have hands on end of line packaging machinery experience, used in the food and/or beverage market and who have the PLC knowledge mentioned above.
