Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Field Service Engineer to repair, refurbish, install and commission end-of-line packaging machinery across the UK and Ireland. You will work with Siemens PLCs, perform fault finding, and upgrade PLCs as needed, with travel 2–3 nights per week and one weekend per month.

The role requires hands-on experience with packaging equipment, electrical/electronic qualifications, and willingness to train on PLC upgrades at HQ in Europe.

Qualifications

• Must have proven track record as Field Service Engineer with hands-on packaging machinery experience in food and/or beverage markets.
• Multi-skilled engineer with electrical & electronic qualifications and fault finding, modifying & upgrading PLCs.
• Experience as Factory Maintenance Engineer with end-of-line packaging machinery and PLC knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of end-of-line packaging machinery.
• Work with PLCs, fault finding, modifying and upgrading Siemens PLCs.
• Cover the UK and Ireland with 2–3 nights away per week and one weekend per month.
• On-the-job training provided, including PLC upgrades.

A great Field Service Engineer role! We want to find an accomplished and qualified Multi-skilled Engineer who has specific experience of fault finding AND ideally, specifically of modifying and upgrading of Siemens PLC`s (or similar) used in end of line packaging machinery.

BASIC SALARY

up to £50,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

Field Service Engineer, Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer – Siemens PLCs, industrial capital equipment, packaging machinery

A classic Field Service Engineer role involving repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of end of line packaging machinery including working with PLC`s, ideally capable of fault finding, modifying and upgrading of Siemens PLC`s, or similar.

You will be covering the whole of the UK and Ireland, and will be expected to spend 2 to 3 nights per week away from home, plus working one weekend a month on average.

• Full training will be offered on the job and occasionally at HQ in Europe.
• Full training will also be provided on upgrading & modifying PLC`s.
• Overtime is paid door to door.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• You MUST have a proven track record as a Field Service Engineer with hands on packaging machinery experience working in the food and/or beverage markets.
• You will be a Multi-skilled Engineer with electrical & electronic engineering qualifications and ideally specific experience and training on fault finding, modifying & upgrading of Siemens PLC`s, or similar.
• We will consider applicants with a track record as a Factory Maintenance Engineer who have hands on end of line packaging machinery experience, used in the food and/or beverage market and who have the PLC knowledge mentioned above.
