Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)

Location: Grimsby, Immingham and Lincoln Territory

Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £31,000 - £36,000 Starting Salary

The Field Service Engineer role is available in a market leader of forklift trucks. The role will suit those looking for a field-based role, with lots of training, overtime if desired, and progression routes. You will also enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

The company has a comprehensive training plan in place to fully support the engineers in the field. Those with experience on cars, HGVs, agriculture, motorbikes, plant equipment, or similar will be very suited to the role. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.

The company is a manufacturer of forklift trucks. As part of a team in the area, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Grimsby, Immingham and Lincoln Territory. No stay away or extensive travel is required. Overtime is available if desired, mostly in the week, and call out is optional.

The Field Service Engineer Role in Brief:

1. Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
2. Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
3. Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
4. Spares placed in van overnight
