About the Role

If successful, you will be employed by Numatic International in Chard, Somerset, but will be home-based covering Scotland.

The Floorcare Demonstrator Engineer is responsible for providing proactive field support for the Floorcare equipment range, including:

• Ensuring machines are fit for use through servicing and maintenance.
• Demonstrating the benefits and capabilities of the Floorcare range to support sales and providing user training at customer sites.

You will identify support solutions for end users with minimal supervision, ensuring customer needs are met, including promoting Numatic International’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) schemes.

Responsibilities

• Providing timely reactive service based on demand and SLA requirements.
• Handling mechanical and electrical service and repair tasks, including testing, estimating on-site repairs, and managing inventory.
• Maintaining communication with the team and producing detailed reports.
• Assessing customer sites to recommend suitable products for demonstration.
• Demonstrating machines professionally to influence sales growth.
• Advising customers on additional products to meet their needs.
• Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing third-party/floorcare products per SLA agreements.

About You

• Experience in a field-based role, preferably in the vacuum or floorcare industry, with training provided for interchangeable skills.
• Self-motivated with good workload management and target achievement skills.
• Experience demonstrating machines or customer-facing roles.
• Electro-mechanical qualifications are preferred.

Note: You will be subject to a DBS check due to working in environments with vulnerable groups.

Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call rota for weekends and bank holidays.
