Interaction Technical is recruiting a Workshop Engineer (Forklifts) for our Grantham site in Lincolnshire. The role focuses on servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks within a busy workshop, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and reliability.

The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with a 08:00–17:00 workday, attractive salary £35,000–£40,000 (DOE) plus 1.5x overtime, and 24 days holiday plus bank holidays. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Competenze

• Experience in plant, agricultural, HGV or material handling sectors.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with engines and battery-powered equipment; strong fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Mansioni

• Diagnosing faults and repairing forklift and plant equipment.
• Performing pre-delivery inspections on new and used machinery.
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding.

The Role

Based at the Grantham site, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of forklift trucks and plant machinery within a workshop environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing, and completing repairs on forklift and plant equipment


• Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used machinery


• Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault finding


• Working on key systems including:EnginesBatteriesHydraulicsPneumatics


• Reconditioning and preparing equipment for hire or resale


• Completing job sheets and service records accurately


• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop

What We're Looking For?

• Experience working in the plant, agricultural, HGV or material handling industries (essential)?


• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems (essential)?


• Experience with engines and battery-powered equipment? Solid fault finding, service, and repair skills? NVQ / City & Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)?


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
