UK Forks, a division of VP plc, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain and repair hire machinery on customer sites. You will be the frontline representative, delivering high-quality service and resolving breakdowns with practical, hands-on engineering expertise.

• A recognised mechanical qualification in mechanical plant or agricultural engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair hire machinery on-site with customers to high standards.
• Serve as frontline customer liaison, ensuring excellent service.
• Carry out essential maintenance and servicing of equipment.
• Provide breakdown resolutions and effective repair services.
• Troubleshoot technical/mechanical issues during site visits.
• Collaborate with operations to identify service improvements.
• Document all repairs, services and customer interactions accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our team, ensuring the maintenance and repair of our machines are completed to our high standards.
• You will also serve as the frontline representative for our customers, ensuring exceptional service and fostering lasting customer connections.
• Carry out essential maintenance and servicing to our hire machinery on-site with customers
• Offer breakdown resolutions and an effective repair service
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical/mechanical issue during site visits
• Collaborating with the wider operations teams to identify opportunities for improvements to our service
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all repairs, services, and customer interactions

What We’re Looking For

• Experience of repairing and servicing plant equipment including Telehandlers – Essential
• A recognised mechanical qualification in mechanical plant or agricultural engineering – Desirable
• A practical problem solver, using initiative where necessary
• A competent communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as and when required
• Well organised with experience of managing time effectively
• A valid driving licence
