Job summary

UK Forks, a division of Vp plc, is seeking a Hire Controller in Harrogate to quote, take and process orders, and drive growth by converting enquiries into hire business. You will support the depot network, hire desk team, and transport operations while building strong customer relationships.

Excellent customer service, IT literacy, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities are essential for success in this role within the construction sector.

Qualifications

• Meticulous attention to detail and understanding of its importance.
• Excellent customer service skills and confident telephone manner.
• Ability to communicate via email with good language use.
• Understand customer requirements and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Experience with various IT systems; knowledge of equipment desirable.
• Logistics/planning experience desirable.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller with relevant experience to join our existing team here in Harrogate, providing customer service and help develop business by converting enquiries into hire business.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include quoting prices, taking orders and processing them through to completion, with the aim of increasing our customer base through pro-active business development You will liaise with the hire desk team and support our depot network and transport team to ensure that we exceed customer expectations and agreed service levelsWith specific responsibility for one of our depots you will be required to develop strong relationships with our customers and our internal colleaguesThis is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company and work with some of the key players in the construction and house building industries.
