Job summary

KPJ Group is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our energy systems team in Bolton. This role involves carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on customer systems, with a focus on reliability and service quality.

Permanent position, £38,789 per year, Mon–Fri 8:00am–4:00pm, 25 days’ leave plus holidays, pension, private healthcare, life insurance, tool allowance, and a 24-hour callout rota with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or a related discipline

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing reactive repairs efficiently and effectively
• Monitoring the performance of customer systems
• Identifying ways to improve reliability and productivity
• Reducing equipment downtime and unnecessary material usage
• Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
• Providing a high standard of customer service
• Participating in a 24-hour callout rota

Job description

We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join an energy systems business in Bolton. This is a role suited to someone with a mechanical, electrical, motor vehicle or related engineering qualification, as you will be carrying out maintenance, fault diagnosis and reactive repairs on customer systems.
