Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a stable, permanent team. The role is home-based with UK travel, earning £37,000–£38,000 plus overtime, a company van, and a 28‑day holiday allowance.

You will service, fault-find and repair a range of industrial equipment on customer sites, with on‑the‑job training and shadowing from experienced engineers. A rotating weekend rota is in place with time back during weekdays.

Qualifications

• Mechanical service/plant background (open on industry as long as it's mechanical).
• Level 3 Mechanical qualification.
• Basic electrical knowledge/awareness (ideal).

Field Service Engineer

Are you a Field Service Engineer from a mechanical background looking for a stable, permanent role with overtime and a company van? Do you want a varied service position where you're backed up by a team and given proper on-the-job training from experienced engineers?

This is a permanent opportunity with an established engineering business that's growing and bringing in more work, so they're adding to the service team. You'll be joining a supportive setup with shadowing and hands-on training as you get up to speed.

You'll be working on a variety of industrial equipment, carrying out service, fault-finding and repairs on customer sites. The role offers overtime and a fair, shared rota approach to weekend work and staying away, with time back in the week when you do work a weekend.

The patch covers the UK, with occasional travel to Jersey and Guernsey. You can work from home and go straight to site, with the option to come in for parts when needed.

This role suits a hands-on Field Service Engineer who wants a solid package (overtime and a company van), clear expectations, and a role where you're supported with training and shadowing from day one.

The Role:

• Field service role working on a variety of industrial equipment across the UK (plus occasional Jersey/Guernsey travel)
• Home-based with travel to sites (and occasional return for parts as required) - 40 hours per week (8:00-4:30 / 8:00-3:30), with rotating weekend work and rotating working-away requirements
