Job summary

Macfarlane Group, trading as Macfarlane Packaging, is recruiting a Field Sales Executive to drive growth across South Tyneside, Sunderland, Washington & County Durham. You will manage a valued existing customer base, secure new business and steer pricing discussions to hit a circa £200K annual target.

You'll enjoy hybrid working, a base salary up to £46,000 with bonuses/OTE of up to 100%, a company car or allowance, and a benefits package designed to support your earning potential and career

Qualifications

• 12+ months in a B2B sales role, managing existing accounts and winning new business.
• Willingness to travel within the territory and hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Proven success in B2B sales with a consultative approach.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivation, resilience, and the ability to work autonomously.
• IT proficiency including CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in packaging or related fields is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by managing and expanding existing accounts while securing new business.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers, identify needs, and present packaging solutions.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maximise opportunities and deliver service.
• Use MS Dynamics CRM to track leads, activities, and pipeline progress.
