Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a Process Operator in Otterbourne to support frontline operations across reservoirs and booster stations. You will perform compliance inspections, testing, asset monitoring and routine maintenance while ensuring safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, willingness to travel between sites, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Permanent contract with standby and overtime opportunities.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out compliance inspections, testing, and asset monitoring activities.
• Performing routine operational and maintenance tasks across reservoirs and booster stations.
• Completing site housekeeping activities and ensuring sites remain presentable and compliant.
• Maintaining records and documentation to support audits and compliance.
• Investigating alarms, faults, and asset performance issues.
• Receiving, storing, and handling chemicals safely per procedures.
• Using IT systems and mobile tech to record maintenance and inspections.
• Supporting site upkeep, security, and readiness across the region.
• Participating in a 1-in-4 week standby rota outside normal hours.
