Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a Field Performance Manager to lead a geographically dispersed portfolio of wastewater treatment sites across the Winchester area. The role combines leadership, safety, and technical oversight to ensure assets are operated safely, efficiently and in compliance, delivering excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing operational teams.
• Experience across multiple locations or remote environments.
• Strong focus on health, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of operational colleagues to deliver safe, compliant and efficient asset performance.
• Managing the operational performance of multiple wastewater treatment sites across your area.
• Creating an engaged, high-performing culture through effective leadership and communication.
• Monitoring operational performance and taking proactive action to address issues and risks.
• Driving improvements in productivity, efficiency, compliance and service delivery.
• Working collaboratively with engineering, process science and support teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Ensuring all operational activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Managing contractors and external stakeholders where required.
• Supporting incident management and operational response activities, including participation in an out-of-hours rota.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement that benefit customers, colleagues and the environment.
