Job summary

4M Recruitment is seeking a Field Operations Engineer for a permanent role to service customers across the UK, focusing on the Northwest region (Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire). No prior power generation experience is required, though engine maintenance experience (gas or diesel) is beneficial.

Ideal candidates hold ONC/NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical/electrical engineering or motor vehicle studies, plus a time-served background of 3+ years in industrial

Qualifications

• Time-served technician with 3+ years' industrial mechanical/electrical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engines or CHP systems.
• Full, valid driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on engines/CHP systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Service customers in the Northwest region (Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire).

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Field Operations Engineer on a permanent basis to work for a business that provides low carbon and cost effective power generation and battery storage solutions to customers across the UK.

We are seeking a candidate who is based in the Northwest region (Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire area) to service customers.

No experience in the power generation sector is required for this role although it be would beneficial. We are seeking candidates who have past experience maintaining and repairing engines (gas or diesel based) as you will complete scheduled and reactive maintenance ensuring systems run smoothly and installations are operating effectively.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• At a minimum, an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering and / or motor vehicle studies / mechanic
• Time-served technician, preferably with a minimum of 3 years’ industrial mechanical/electrical experience
• Considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of engines or combined heat power plants (CHP)
• A full, valid driving licence
• Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8.00 am - 4.30 pm plus generous overtime
