Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Network Service Technician to maintain and resolve issues in our clean water network across the Thames Valley. You will balance customer service with technical problem-solving and fieldwork, acting as the face of Thames Water for many customers.

The role includes a 38-hour week with a standby rota, offers a starting salary from £28,970 plus a van and fuel card, and comprehensive training. No prior experience required beyond a proactive attitude and strong service ethos.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel between jobs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of customer queries and resolve issues at homes or workplaces.
• Coordinate with contractors for planned and unplanned work.
• Investigate water networks to resolve pressure, leakage and supply issues.
• Assist with valve operations, sampling and planning.
• Work on a standby rota including some weekends.
