Job summary

Scottish Water is seeking a Network Maintenance Operator to join our Sewer response team in Lanarkshire. The role is field-based, with on-site work, training, PPE, and a company van provided.

You’ll inspect the drainage network, respond to issues, and maintain water flow across shifts as part of a 24/7 service. Starting salary £30,440 with progression to £35,260, plus on-call allowances and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• A full UK-issued driving licence.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
• Ability to follow procedures at all times, prioritising safety.
• Basic IT skills to log updates on mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checks and maintenance on the drainage network.
• Investigate issues reported by customers or control centre, and resolve them.
• Record work and updates using mobile systems; manage on-site safety.
