Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting for a Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our client's team in Wellingborough. The role involves servicing, repairing and maintaining a variety of plant and equipment, resolving mechanical issues and ensuring high standards of safety and maintenance.

The successful candidate will perform regular inspections, diagnose faults, complete PDI inspections, keep accurate records and work closely with teams to ensure safety and reliability of equipment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 VQ in Plant Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience servicing and repairing plant and equipment.
• A clean driving licence is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular plant inspections and scheduled servicing.
• Diagnose and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
• Complete on and off-hire PDI inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams and management.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices and operators.
• Respond to unforeseen mechanical issues when required.
