Job summary

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a motivated Mobile Plant Mechanic to join a busy workshop team in Leeds. You will service, repair and maintain a variety of plant and equipment, diagnose mechanical issues and ensure top safety and maintenance standards are met.

The role requires experience with heavy equipment, a Level 2 VQ in Plant Maintenance and Repair, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time, 12-week contract with a potential extension.

Qualifications

• Level 2 VQ in Plant Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience servicing and repairing plant and equipment.
• A clean driving licence is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular plant inspections and scheduled servicing.
• Diagnose and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
• Complete on and off-hire PDI inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams and management.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices and operators.
• Respond to unforeseen mechanical issues when required.
