Job summary

Pertemps Scotland is recruiting a Mobile Plant Mechanic for our client’s team in Wellingborough. The role involves servicing, repairing and maintaining plant and equipment to high safety and quality standards.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, with a minimum 12-week contract and potential extension for the right candidate. Pay is £19.19 per hour, with a focus on safe, efficient maintenance.

Qualifications

• Level 2 VQ in Plant Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience servicing and repairing plant and equipment.
• A clean driving licence is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular plant inspections and scheduled servicing.
• Diagnose and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
• Complete on and off-hire PDI inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams and management.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices and operators.
• Respond to unforeseen mechanical issues when required.
