Job summary

Gi Group is hiring Meter Readers to collect data from gas, electricity and water meters across residential and commercial sites. This role offers full-time hours, a flexible start between 8am-8pm, and training will be provided.

You will update reads on handheld devices, provide excellent customer service, and work in a physically demanding outdoor environment with full PPE and a company car. Training is 1 week with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Manual UK Driving Licence (1+ year) and no disqualifying offences.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Physically fit for bending, lifting, kneeling and walking 4–5 miles daily.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and maintain professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from meters at domestic, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Perform Charge Point Surveys and accurate data entry.
• Maintain safety guidelines and professional customer interactions.
