Job summary

Gi Group UK is hiring Meter Readers in Horndean to collect data from water, gas and electricity meters for commercial and residential properties. You will use a handheld device and deliver excellent customer service while working across locations.

No prior experience is required. Expect 40–45 hours weekly with flexible start times, a basic pay of £13.23 per hour, and potential annual earnings of £27,000–£30,000 including a bonus scheme, pension enrolment, a company car, and full training.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• 5 years employment history requested.
• Criminal and credit checks specified.
• Manual UK Driving Licence with 1 year minimum.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from Water, Gas and Electric meters at multiple sites.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Enter reads on handheld device and provide customer service.
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
• Work independently with integrity and punctuality.
• Support training and progression opportunities.
