Job summary

Gi Group UK is hiring Meter Readers to collect data from gas, electricity and water meters across various sites. This full-time role offers flexible start times and a 40–45 hour workweek with potential Saturdays.

You will read meters on a handheld device, provide quality customer service, and receive full training. Benefits include a company car, pension, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Must be able to walk 4-5 miles daily and work outdoors.
• Manual UK driving licence with 1 year minimum (6 points max) and no major offences.

Responsibilities

• Collect data from gas, electricity and water meters at domestic, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Update meter reads on handheld device and ensure accuracy.
• Conduct visual inspections of metering equipment and carry out required surveys.
• Provide excellent customer service while working independently in the field.
