Job summary

Schindler UK & Ireland is seeking a Field Manager to lead installation engineers across London and the South, ensuring safe, timely lift installation deliveries and strong customer relationships. You will drive performance, coach your team and coordinate materials and tooling to meet project targets.

The role emphasizes safety, quality and stakeholder management, with responsibilities spanning planning, site audits, reporting and collaboration with Project Managers.

Qualifications

• NVQ, HND or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or comparable industry experience.
• Experience leading, supervising or coordinating engineering teams in lift installation.
• Knowledge of lift industry standards, legislation and safe working practices.
• Ability to plan workloads and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading, planning and coordinating installation engineers to deliver safely and efficiently and in line with operational objectives.
• Recruiting, coaching, developing and supporting team members, helping them achieve high levels of performance.
• Monitoring project progress, productivity and quality standards across multiple installation projects.
• Maintaining accurate operational records and reporting, including the use of SAP and other business systems.
• Carrying out site safety inspections and audits, promoting best practice and driving a strong safety culture.
• Supporting engineers with technical and operational challenges to maintain project delivery targets.
• Collaborating with Project Managers to support cost control, quotations and overall project performance.
• Coordinating the timely delivery of materials, equipment and tooling to ensure uninterrupted project delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the installation lifecycle.
• Driving customer satisfaction through proactive communication and effective issue resolution.
• Managing team performance and ensuring resources are allocated effectively across projects.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards, while leading by example.
