Job summary
Schindler Ltd (UK) is seeking a Lift Installation Engineer to support new lift installations across the Reading to Brighton corridor, delivering high-quality, safe and efficient installations on commercial, residential and infrastructure projects.
You will install lift equipment, complete alignment and pre-commissioning checks, conduct site surveys and collaborate with customers, contractors and project teams.
Qualifications
- Recognised lift engineering qualifications (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication with customers and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Install lift equipment and mechanical/electrical components per procedures and standards.
- Complete installation, alignment and assembly of lift systems and traction equipment.
- Install suspension ropes, governor ropes and safety equipment.
- Install lift entrances, doors, frames and operating equipment.
- Carry out installation inspections, final adjustments and pre-commissioning checks.
- Conduct site surveys and review project requirements for delivery.
- Monitor progress and report installation status and resource needs.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors and colleagues to ensure project success.
