Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a Switchgear Engineer to install, modify, maintain and fault-find LV switchgear across client sites in the UK.

This field-based role requires travel to South-East UK sites with occasional UK-wide and EMEA travel, working with control wiring, protective devices and power distribution equipment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Follow RAMS and permit-to-work systems.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Installation of LV switchgear and distribution equipment.
• Maintenance and fault finding on LV switchgear and systems.
• Work during planned shutdowns and outages.
• Produce accurate job reports and documentation.
• Liaise professionally with clients and site personnel.
