Job Details

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Field IT Support Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. The role involves providing on-site IT support across various sites in Yorkshire (e.g., Brighouse, Elland, Halifax). The position requires a good mix of technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide first and second-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
2. Travel to different sites across Yorkshire for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
3. Set up, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
4. Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, incidents, and solutions.
5. Collaborate with central IT teams to escalate complex issues as needed.
6. Ensure all work complies with company standards and security protocols.

Requirements

1. Proven experience in IT support roles involving hardware and software installation and configuration.
2. Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
3. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
4. Experience with Active Directory, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems.
5. Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively.
6. Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car (mileage paid for travel).
7. Willingness to travel extensively across Yorkshire.

Desirable Qualifications

• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) are advantageous.
