Job summary

NatCen, the UK’s leading independent social research organisation, is hiring Field Interviewers for South East London on a part-time basis.

You’ll visit people in their homes to conduct interviews on health, housing and transport, using a tablet or laptop, and you’ll receive additional payments for admin, travel, and mileage. A valid UK driving licence, DBS check, and flexible availability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband.
• Laptop or tablet with camera.
• Comfortable using basic technology.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to carry out research interviews.
• Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture data.
• Engage with participants politely, handle refusals professionally.
• Accurately record responses and coordinate timings with project teams.
