Job summary

NatCen, the UK's leading independent social research organisation, is hiring for a Field Interviewer role in Dudley. You will visit households, conduct interviews using a tablet or laptop, and guide conversations on health, housing and transport.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence and access to a personal car, with flexible, part-time hours. You'll be out in the community, collecting real experiences, receiving per-interview pay, admin/holiday pay, and mileage/travel time compensation.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 Business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband and a laptop/tablet with camera.
• Comfortable using basic technology.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to conduct vital research interviews.
• Guide conversations and capture real experiences on topics like health, housing and transport.
• Travel to assigned areas and manage time to meet interview targets.
• Maintain professional and friendly contact with participants.
