Job summary

NatCen, the UK’s leading independent social research organisation, is seeking a Field Interviewer for Reading. You will conduct home interviews using a tablet or laptop, visiting communities to collect data on health, housing and transport.

This is a part-time, field-based role requiring a valid UK driving licence and DBS check. You’ll earn per interview plus admin, travel time, mileage, and staged bonuses, with an average hourly rate around £15.12 including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written English
• Ability to work in the community
• Access to a car and driving licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to conduct vital research interviews on topics like health, housing and transport.
• Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations that capture real experiences of daily life in Britain.
• Be out in the community, knocking on doors and carrying out fieldwork.
• Average hourly rate with incentives and travel/bonus components.
