Job summary

NatCen, the UK’s leading social research organisation, is seeking a Field Interviewer in Kingston-upon-Thames. You will visit people in their homes to conduct interviews on health, housing and transport, using a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture real experiences of daily life in Britain.

This is a part-time, field-based role requiring a driving licence, a personal vehicle, and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 Business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband and a laptop/tablet.
• At least 18 hours per week and flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to conduct vital research interviews.
• Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture experiences.
• Engage with participants politely and professionally, and record responses.
• Manage flexible hours including weekdays and weekends.
