Job summary

NatCen is Britain’s largest independent social research organisation. Field Interviewers visit households across assigned areas to carry out in‑home interviews on health, housing, transport and everyday life.

You’ll be trained before you go out, work independently with support from a field manager, and help ensure real experiences are heard. This part‑time, travel‑based role offers mileage reimbursement, paid travel time and the satisfaction of contributing to public services research.

Responsibilities

• Visit selected addresses across an assigned area to carry out in-home research interviews on topics such as health, housing, transport and daily life.
• Use NatCen devices to guide structured interviews and record responses accurately.
• Travel to interview locations; route planning supported; travel times typically 30–60 minutes each way.
