Job summary

National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) is seeking Field Interviewers in Bournemouth for a part-time, travel‑based role. You will visit addresses to carry out in‑home interviews on health, housing, transport and daily life topics, guiding conversations and recording responses with a NatCen device.

DBS checks may be required, and flexible weekday/evening/weekend availability is expected. Paid travel time, mileage reimbursement, and a competitive bonus structure are components of the role.

Qualifications

• No prior research experience required.
• DBS check required (willingness to complete).
• Minimum 20 hours availability per week.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Visit addresses across an assigned area to conduct in-home interviews.
• Use NatCen device to guide structured interviews and record responses.
• Travel within the defined fieldwork area with some longer journeys and occasional overnight stays.
