Job summary

NatCen, the UK's largest independent social research organisation, is hiring field interviewers to visit participants at home across Britain. You will guide conversations, record real-life experiences on topics like health, housing and transport, and help improve lives through your work.

This is active fieldwork rather than a desk job, with travel to communities, occasional rejections, and the chance to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 Business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband.
• Laptop or tablet with camera.
• Able to achieve at least 18 hours per week.
• Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to conduct vital research interviews.
• Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture experiences.
