Job summary

Energy Transfer seeks an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities and field operations. The role involves repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and related equipment at gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

It will inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs or DCS and other process or safety controls.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
0–2 years (Level C), 2–4 years (Level B), 4+ years (Level A) relevant industry experience.
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
Experience with InTouch Wonderware or FactoryTalk, RSLogix, DeltaV.
Extensive knowledge of DOT 192/193/195; NEC/OSHA 1910 references.

Responsibilities

Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument components.
Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and electrical distribution systems.
Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems and safety controls.
Read manuals, drawings, and schematics including P&IDs.
Test, calibrate, and document plant and compressor station control devices per DOT/PSM requirements.
Participate in call-outs and on-call rotations; provide written reports.
