Job summary

Redline Group seeks a Contract EC&I Technician in East Yorkshire to install, test and commission LV electrical systems on a major fertiliser facility. You will work with engineering, construction and commissioning teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery of plant systems.

The role covers installation, maintenance and fault-finding of electrical and instrumentation systems, PLC/SCADA/HMI support, and compliance with site safety procedures and RAMS.

Qualifications

• Experience as EC&I Technician in an industrial environment.
• Experience on process plants, fertiliser, chemical, or heavy engineering projects.
• Strong LV electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and fault-find LV electrical systems across process plants.
• Glading, termination and panel wiring activities.
• Install, test and commission motor starters (DOL, star-delta, soft starters, VSDs).
• Perform loop checks, I/O testing and signal verification.
• Calibrate sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Install and maintain control valves and instrumentation.
• Support PLC, SCADA and HMI fault-finding and commissioning.
• Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs and loop drawings.
• Update redline drawings and maintenance/calibration records.
• Adhere to Permit to Work, RAMS and safety procedures.
• Support commissioning, start-up and handover across plant systems.
