Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Engineer for Exeter/South West to install, maintain and troubleshoot IT networking hardware across customer sites. The role involves travel within the region and a proactive, customer-facing approach.

The package includes a £30k base salary plus £3k–£4k on-call allowance, overtime opportunities, a company vehicle and 25 days holiday. A full UK driving licence is essential; SC clearance is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and deploying IT networking, cabling and POS hardware.
• Configuring equipment per technical specs and customer requirements.
• Testing installations to ensure operation before site departure.
• Installing and configuring camera and footfall-monitoring equipment where required.
• Diagnosing faults during installation, maintenance and break-fix activities.
• Escalating complex problems when needed.
• Managing workload, travel and appointments to meet SLAs.
• Maintaining accurate records and technical documentation.
• Liaising with customers and Service Desk for updates.
