Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join a UK-based power and energy business. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance of gas and diesel engines across customer installations, with a strong emphasis on reliability and efficiency.

A 24-hour rota and weekend out-of-hours work are included. The ideal candidate will have mechanical or electrical engineering background, 3+ years' industrial experience, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• This role requires ONC/NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years' industrial experience.
• Experience with gas and/or diesel engines and fault-finding across mechanical/electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers on site.

Responsabilités

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on customer installations.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out repairs and remedial works.
• Support operation and optimisation of customer installations.
• Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Work to reduce downtime and material usage; complete service reports.
